Gateway addictions

Wheat, simple carbs, and sugar are gateways to other identical substances.

For example, today I ate Salmon, brussel sprouts, and berries for breakfast.  (So far so good, right?)

But then I had a sugar free fudgesicle.

Which led to popcorn.

Which led to the crackers at dinner with the chili.

So, for me, I can't have one.  Period.  Or I have to accept that one leads to more.
