Day 15:

What a beautiful day the Lord has made!  I love "70 degree have to get out into it" weather!

I'm happy to be keeping commitments health-wise and exercise-wise today.  Tuesdays are crazy, because I start with a 6:30 am bible study, work solid until 5:30, when I go to an evening First Place 4 Health bible study/nutrition/weight loss class, where I'll be tied up until 7:30 or later.  (Want to know more?  Email me.)

So if the food and exercise isn't carefully planned out on Tuesdays, it won't happen.  (Now if I could only carry that commitment to other days!)  So I have to plan to walk somewhere around the lunch hour. (Today's walk--2 miles) I have to plan breakfast, lunch, and dinner, because I'll be eating all three on the go.

So today it was fruit/protein smoothie for breakfast, a hearty veggie salad mid-morning, Zoup spicy black bean chili and bread for lunch , apple for snack and Zoup Gazpacho for dinner.   And I don't have to worry that I'll deviate from that, because I'm almost too busy to eat those meals!  And my lunch workout means I'm not very hungry, so I don't have to worry about the junk-food-jonesing in the afternoon.

PS--saw a great recipe for the kids--and me!

Frozen Watermelon on a stick
Ok, it's a misnomer calling it a recipe--basically, you put a stick (ie, popsicle stick or skewer) into seedless watermelon cut into shapes and freeze for 3 hours.  But it would be a lot healthier than a popsicle!!!
