Day 7 and 8: Good choices, not-so-good choices

I'm still struggling with how and what to eat when I'm so busy.

Take yesterday:  started the day out with fruit smoothie (good), had to leave my office at 1:30 to take my car in to the shop, so I grabbed a turkey/havarti bagel from Biggby.  (Not so good).  After, went to son's award ceremony, went back to work, went out after work to celebrate a colleague's birthday (club soda--good), had to take Emma to haircut, ate at the Wendy's next door (hamburger, no mayo or cheese, side salad--not so good, but not so bad).  Walked 2 miles in the parking lot waiting for her haircut (good).

I'm not thrilled about the food choices, but at the time was struggling with "I need to eat now, and this is the place nearby".  I need a strategy on those days...some box meal where I add boiling water that will keep in my desk for months?  Traveling with a lunch cooler in my car?

So today, we start again.  Fruit smoothie in the am.  I need to do a veggie soup and salad for lunch, to make up for lack of veggies yesterday.  Salad for dinner before bible study.  Walking after bible study (which I hate to do, but I'm not wearing the kind of shoes to fake it today) (note to self:  work out shoes at office).

I have basil and cilantro...anyone have a good (healthy) recipe that uses both?
